a machine that's yours alone, and on all the time.
either plan buys one virtual machine in a data centre, running omarchy, with nobody else logged into it. it doesn't sleep when you close your laptop and it doesn't reset between sessions: the files, dotfiles and apps you leave on it are there when you come back, from whichever paired device you come back on.
the price covers building the machine from a tested omarchy release, the streaming server that carries it to your screen, pairing through the dashboard, and running the box for as long as you subscribe. you choose the region it lives in when you create it. the vcpu, memory and disk of each size are listed with the rest of the specs.
pick by what you run, not by what you might run.
standard is the size our proof of concept ran on, and it's where the latency and frame-rate numbers on the home page were measured. if your day is an editor, a terminal, a browser and an agent, it's the plan to start with.
plus doubles the cores and the memory. it earns its extra cost when you compile large projects, run containers or a local database alongside your editor, or keep a lot of heavy browser tabs open — work that waits on the cpu or runs out of memory. it won't make graphics-heavy work faster: neither plan has a gpu, and both draw and encode the desktop in software.
choose deliberately. there's no in-place resize today, so a machine stays the size it was built at.
monthly, through stripe, one machine per subscription.

- billing is monthly. one subscription is one machine — a second machine is a second subscription.
- your machine is built after the payment goes through, not before.
- you can cancel from the dashboard at any time. cancelling ends the subscription at the end of the period you've paid for; the unused part of that month isn't refunded.
- when a subscription ends, the machine isn't kept for you. copy off what you want before then — over ssh, or push it to git.
what neither plan includes today.
we'd rather you read this here than find it out later. neither plan includes a gpu. neither includes automatic backups or snapshots, so anything that matters should live in git or be synced somewhere else. there's no stop, restart or resize button in the dashboard yet. and the trial terms are still to be decided — the fine print under the plans says so, and it will change only when they are.
none of this is hidden in how the machine is built, either. how omacloud builds and runs your machine sets out every step, including exactly what you control and what you don't.
the case is the machine you already have.
a year of standard is $360; a year of plus is $600. the point isn't that it's cheaper than every computer — it's that you don't need another one. you keep the laptop you have and the os it runs, and omarchy lives on a machine of its own. no disk to wipe, no dual-boot to maintain, no second machine on the desk.
and if you'd rather not pay monthly at all, omarchy installs on hardware you own. we'd take that as a compliment.
